Doors have opened. Cheerleaders have encouraged. Butt kickers have kicked. (Thank you by the way.) So, what’s next?
If you have ever gone gung ho on a new endeavor be it diet, exercise, Bible study, budget, etc. you most likely have bottomed out, hit a wall, pulled a hamstring or something along those lines. Without proper preparation and prayer (not necessarily in that order) excitement and good intentions can lead to disappointment and disheartening.
On the other hand, the prospect of what God has in store can be quite exciting and overwhelming. Holy cow! Here I am Lord, send me. Big dreams require big dreames. Scripture promises God has more in store than we can ever imagine. This is the scary part- I can imagine A LOT!
My grandmother advised a long time ago, “Don’t pray for patience or you will be tested.” Along the way, I have learned to ask for grace instead. What IS next? I pray for grace as His plan is revealed.
